Our story

Makeshift started with a simple idea: good design should not disappear when it reaches a T-shirt.
After years of working in branding, design, marketing, and business-building, we wanted a place where the creative idea and the finished product get the same level of care.
We began by developing branding and apparel for businesses close to home. That work grew into Makeshift — a Hood River studio for screen printing, branded apparel, and projects that need a little more thought than uploading a logo into a catalog.
We work with established organizations, new businesses, teams, farms, events, and people who don't know exactly what they need yet. Some arrive with finished artwork. Some arrive with a rough idea. Both are welcome.
